Would I be able to claim my fiance on my taxes in 2007?

Would I be able to claim my fiance on my taxes in 2007?

Possibly, but would need to know the circumstances regarding your fiance in order to say yes or no. If you and your fiance marry before the end of the year (even if you married on 12/31/07) you would be able to file as married filing jointly.

I have attached a link about claiming someone as a dependent. Source(s): http://taxes.about.com/od/dependents/cla...
Possibly. If she lived with you ALL year, you paid over half of her support, and her gross income for the year was under $3400, then you probably can - there are other requirements too but those are the big ones. If you/she don't meet ALL of those rules, then no you can't claim her.

Even if you can, you can't claim head of household.
In addition to what Judy said, your fiance can't be able to be claimed by her parents either (ie. she's under 24 and still going to school).
In addition to what has already been said there is one frequently forgotten exception. If the living arrangement is in violation of an local or state law you can not take the deduction. For example South Carolina has a law against Cohabitation of an unmarried adult man and women.
