what kind of crashes are you asking about? If you are talking about business crashes, the last one that I can remember was the bailout of the savings & loan industry back in the late 1980's. Don't remember how much it cost back then, but it was a lot.Crashes of what? If you mean auto accidents the government pay in several ways and a great deal because of them.
