Need help with math?

in many eurpoean countries shoppers pa a value added tax (VAT) on most purcahses
the VAT rate can be as high as 25%
suppose that the VAT rate in a country is 25%
express the direct relationship between the value added tax T and the item price P in two equivalent forms

p2 = p1(1 + t)

where p2 is the price plus vat and p1 is without vat

for example, is the price of an item was 拢10 and the VAT on it was 17.5%

p2 = 10(1+17.5%)
p2 = 10(1 + 17.5/100)
p2 = 10 x 1.175
p2 = 拢11.75
Sound's like school is back in session. Please do your own homework.
I have no idea

sorry ^_^
