St. Louis, MO Flooding?

Wondering how was the flooding situation going in St. Louis? Is there still flooding going on there and did anyone get caught up in the situation?

It's a lot better, although there are still a couple roads that aren't passable. There's a big old mudslide in Alton IL up the Mississippi from us. It could take out a bunch of houses and businesses.

Mostly the towns on the Meramec River had floods. Valley Park has new flood gates, and they did a good job. Parts of Fenton are still pretty wet. Water Street (no kidding, that's it's name) is right along the river and turns into Yarnell. That's still closed in places. It was actually lapping up onto I-44 on Good Friday. What a mess that was! With I 64 shut down for repairs, closing a lane of I 44 really screwed with traffic.

The people in Pacific (south of St. Louis, near Six Flags) got it really bad. Now there's talk about a government buy-out, and in general they don't want it.

But you know what? We've been wet before and we'll be wet again.

it is no longer flooding at the time being, though a couple of roads are closed off due to more rain later on in the week. So far no real damage have been done. The little girl that was caught it in was rescued by her cousins. And a couple of home-owners might lose their houses if the mud slide start again
