I'm new to ebay?

And I was wondering if I could pay for items using money orders? Is this safe?

Sellers list the kinds of payments they accept. Make sure the seller takes money orders before you bid.

Before you bid on anything, check out the seller's profile. You do this by clicking on the number in parentheses next to the seller's name. Often there is a star there, too.

Check to make sure there are no complaints about the seller. And make sure the seller has a substantial record of solid transactions.

Stay away from sellers who reportedly did not ship the item and who did not resolve customer problems.

On eBay, a seller's profile is everything. A good seller goes all out to protect and build a positive profile. If you're dealing with a highly rated seller, you can be sure that he will do everything to preserve his rating.

If at all possible, you should look into setting up a PayPal account. It's very secure and most sellers prefer it. Plus, PayPal can help resolve issues if any arise.

Good luck bidding!

yes you can pay using money orders. Most sellers accept them. They specify how they want you too pay usually in their add. But yes, you normally can using ,money orders. umm...personally i wouldnt recommend it. Depending where the seller is, it can take a very long time for them to get the money, and therefore longer for you to get the item. Just use paypal. Its linked with ebay. Its 100% safe and extremely easy. You link paypal with your credit card or chequing account at your bank, at it takes the money from there and sends it too the seller within seconds. very safe and reliable. I use ebay all the time and i love it.
