IMPORTING ADVICE: WHAT's a "courier account" please?

NEWBIE SELLER: I've been selling on ebay for a couple of months now and I have been emailing a supplier outside of the UK and they agreed to send me a sample of their product.
In order to send the samples to me in Scotland, the company said that they needed my "courier account number" first-but I don't even know what this "courier account number" is!?! Can someone please help me?
I'm new to all this "seller jargon".
The company also mentioned "freight"-and I don't have a clue what this is!?!? I read an online dictionary and it didn't help...can someone give me a "dummies description" please?
Any help will be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED?!?!
Thanks guys Anna

The supplier wants you to set up an account with a courier, or shipping company, in your name. Then, he wants you to supply him with the account number so that he can ship you things and have you pay for the shipping charges. "Freight" can be a number of things, but is probably the cost of shipping. It can also mean the goods that are shipped.
Couriers include Federal Express, UPS, DHL and others which ship outside the country of origin.
Be very careful about providing anyone with an account number. You leave yourself vulnerable for all sorts of charges, including shipping to other people and having it billed to your account.
Tell the supplier that you prefer he use the postal service for shipping. Tell him to insure the shipment and that he should bill you directly for the shipping charges. If he refuses, don't do business with him.
