Ebay- fees out of $189?

if i sell something on ebay for about $189 how much would ebay charge me(fees)?

For $189, the final value fee is http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.htm...

$25.01 - $1,000.00 closing price = 5.25% of the initial $25.00 ($1.31), plus 3.25% of the remaining closing value balance ($25.01 to $1,000.00)

So that's

$1.31 + 3.25% of $164 = $1.31 + $5.33 = $6.64

Your final value fees is $6.64 (not including your listing fees)

Use eBay help and look up "final value fees"--though it's probably around $10.

Don't forget listing fees and PAYPAL fees.

Your goal is 10% or less of the total.

Dont forget paypal will take their cut too. Whatever you sell your item for a good rule of thumb is that 10 to 11% will go to fees for using ebay & paypal together.

You can try to figure out all the eBay and PayPal fees by hand, but an easier way is to use the eBay fee calculator at http://www.newlifeauctions.com/calc.html

It calculates your all your insertion fees, final value fees and PayPal fees.
