There are a few companies but it can be hard to get the initial break you need. Try Aramark for being a Steward(catering and cleaning services). You mentioned labouring, i guess you mean being a 'roustabout'. Again hard to get into. Type in 'offshore drilling companies' into Yahoo. These are not jobs you can just walk into. You will need to have offshore survival certificates and green hand training for drilling. Good luck.

If so, ask them. Most jobs (in my experience) come from personal contacts / recommendations.

If you don't, try to work out what pub the riggers of the kitchen staff hang out in, and buy a couple of rounds :-)
