How do I start an online store?

I recently became interested in crafting, fashion designing, and any type of art that I use my hand to create as some sort of extra-curricular activity. I am also interested in finding out how to put everything online for people to use their credit cards and buy my Art anywhere in the world and I ship to them. How do I open an online store though?

I see people having their little business on ebay. Then they put a link to their website on it. Spruz.com is a pretty good free web starter.

You might start by getting a free website from geocities and attempt to sell from there, then maybe in the future move on to a website for which you have to pay.

Cafepress.com is one but you sort of have to incorporate your designs into their products. You'll see if you go to the website. It's totally free so worth checking into.

it's cheaper to go ebay first.......because to set up a secured website that accepts and protects credit/debit cards identities is not cheap. You practically have to own your own web server

First get your domain name, for your own website, I recommend through Yahoo. It is fairly inexpensive and trustworthy company , then interlink your website and products. The team will help you to answer your question. I'm starting this way. Try it.

you got an interesting passion there. believe me if you can translate that passion into words, images of videos and put it in a site and continue to build it non stop one day you will find your site on the first page of search engine result pages. and any one who is doing online business that position is a major accomplishment.

to create successful online store you need to attach it with content site. people go online looking for information first. from those information they gather from here and there than they evaluate things before buying. so they go to search engine to do their research. the more content you have on your site the the bigger chances you have to obtain higher ranking with the search engine.
