Why is it that you see babies in shopping trolleys but never any on the shelves?

It is illegal to traffic human flesh, therefore babies are not sold by traditional means.

Besides, they have a nasty habit of not staying where you put them, and they are quite messy after feeding. One cannot have an item on the shelf that moves on it's very own, at it's own whim. How would you ever find a baby if it is hiding under the produce or something?
