Where do i go if i want to make an official/proper website?

i started a buisness and want to make a website eg. blahblahdhdhd.com

where do i go on the internet to get my own "url"

There are many ways to go about building a website. You can register a domain name(url) through some one like godaddy and find a web host that charges a low annual fee to host your site. Then educate your self in the art of web design and getting targeted traffic to your site. Another more expensive way would be to pay a web designer. I would not recommend using a free web host. It is more difficult to generate traffic. I personally built my website through http://www.tobuildyour.com. They provided a step by step program that I could do at my own pace. I was able to create a successful website and get consistent targeted traffic to it after two short months. I did that with out any previous knowledge in web design. There are other web hosts that offer assistance. I would suggest that you find the one that will suit your needs. If you have any questions about the one that I chose, feel free to send me a message. I hope this has helped.

To get your own domain names, go to www.godaddy.com

It cost something USUD 9 for one year subscription.

There are three parts you need to consider:

1: Registering the name "blah... .com"
2: Getting someone to code the site
3: Getting someone to "host" the site (provide the computer it will run on).

1: There are various companies who do this. They one I use for most of my domains is called godaddy.com. [I use the discount code "blaugh" to get a 10% discount.]

2: Various options for coding the site, depending on what you need. If you're just after a simple site, then a teenager may do it... or look around. A high-end website can cost several million, a simple few pages can cost a hundred quid!

3: There are various hosting companies - a lot hinges on the requirements of whoever has designed your site. Sites hosted on "Linux" tend to be cheaper to run, which I guess is why Microsoft have 90% of the desktop PC market, but Linux has 90% of the webserver market.

If you just want a blog, which is an increasingly popular option for "information - about us"" sites - then someone like wordpress gives you a lot of options for free... however the name will look like:

http://www.markharrison.wordpress.com

rather than http://www.YOURNAME.com

What wordpress won't do is give you the ability to make sales / handle credit card payments directly on the site.

At godaddy.com you can register a domain name for $1.99.

The catch is that you still need a place to host it, which is the majority of the cost.

Most websites you can run for $100 a year or so, depending on how much traffic you expect.

If really you are going to launch your website for your own company, follow the below :-
1. Do keep your physical farm in full preparedness
2. See what services others like you are providing on the web
3. See the service delivery cost of theirs and vis-a-vis yours
4. Fix a nice and suitable name of your website and see whether this is free or not... if not, re-name it till you find a free name (all major names are kept booked)
5. Website launching co.s are plenty .. they may help in registering your URL, design your website, arrange the "payment system" into the site etc. Pay them their reasonable fees.
6.When done .. do not forget to inform us so that we can visit the site. Thanks.

GoDaddy.com is a highly reputable web host.... and they will take you through the entire process.

I would suggest that you also learn a bit about HTML language that is behind websites. It's not that hard to learn about that, and if you learn just a bit, you will not have to depend on someone else to update your website.

It depends on whether you want to pay for your webhosting or use a free webhost program.

Note:Paid webhosting is free from advertising whereas if you use a free webhost the webhost will advertise on your website.

Try www.Bravenet.com for free webhosting. OR

Try 1and1 where .biz domains are now $2.99 for the first year and .coms are $6.99

For Limited Time Get 'blahblahdhdhd.com' registration FREE for 1st year and pay only 拢8.99 for the 2nd years registration (Minimum of 2 years registration).

Hope this helps

Find an internet service provider - try looking in the computer magazines, there are usually loads of hosting companies advertising.

You can share space on a machine in a server farm, have your own machine in a server farm or host it on your own machine

Shared space is usually cheaper but you may be more restricted especially if you want your own shopping software

Your own server on a rack is more expensive, especially if you have someone else servicing it for you.

On your own machine is probably cheapest but you have all the hassle of trying to keep it running and if the machine is used for other tasks you may have problems.

Also check you comply with the legalities in your jurisdiction -
in the EU you have to give a geographic address for the business (an anti fraud requirement), your registered name number and address if a limited company in the UK (this is also counts as the geographic address}, and you need to consider the Distance Selling Regs

In the US a number of jurisdictions seem to allow traders to hide their identies thus by-passing the free trade system.

there's microsoft office live

make sure you have java runtime installed before you start(http://www.java.com/en/download/index.js... and then your ready to go
the website creator is easy to use and you can upload jpegs, mpegs and much more
