Im going into fashion design,and i want my own clothing line. I need some pointers please!!! information/hints

When i got some money i was go buy a sowing machine and make da clothes myself,and....i heard that take a long time,lol,so..basically i just wanna know...whatever u can tell me i guess,haha...HELP ME!!!

Create a business plan.(definite must)
Research the garment business
Develop your designs-determine who your target customer is.
*Shop the market.
*Research trends,
*Source fabrics, trims and processes such as embroidery, denim wash, screen print, etc.
*Create story boards and turn it into a tight collection that is marketable.
*Hire a freelance pattern maker to make the patterns
*Hire a sample maker or sample service to make your samples
*Hire your friend who is a graphic artist to create your line sheets
*Set up a home page for your line so that you can generate brand exposure
*Find a sewing contractor that will produce small lots.
*Hire friends to help pack and ship
*Network
*Research and hire a sales rep to sell your line at market.
Your sales rep will need the following sales tools:
*Complete Line tagged with style number, size range, color , wholesale and suggested retail price
*Line Sheets
*Postcards
*Business Cards

Getting an education will make it a more smoother ride in getting into this industry.

I know this has nothing to do with your question,but i'm wanting to become a fashion designer too and i was wondering where u live.I'm not a perv or anything.It's just that it's not everyday i find someone who wants to become a fashion designer.
