Can I use a clip art picture as a logo for my business? Or do I need permission? You need to check as to whether the clip art is copyrighted or not. In order to use copyrighted material you must obtain written permission from the owner and give appropriate credit anywhere the material is displayed. The usual form for giving this credit is: "Copyright [insert year]. [insert name of copyright holder]. Used with permission." Yes, if the clip art is registered in the trademarks/brand names office ( Intellectual Property ? ) in your country. |
