What do i need to start a pool sevice business ?

I have a truck & I know how to take care a pool. Business Ideas ? Thank you.

I recommend you contact the SBA (Small Business Association). They will give you free business advice.

My answer?

1 Get a business license.
2 Write a business plan ... follow it!
3 Decide how much you want to make an hour.
4 Calculate the rates you will charge for the services you offer.
5 Marketing. Decide on how you will let the public know that you exist, what services you offer, and why they should choose you.
6 Set up a bookkeeping system. This is very important!
7 Get with the SBA. They have the good answers to ALL your questions! Don't trust all the answers you get here. You never know when somebody's giving you good advice or if they're just making up stuff! Use common sense when you read the responses. Take what you can use, research what you're not sure is true. Good luck! (Are you in Arizona? I could use a good pool man!)
8 Remember that your business will slow down, if not stop, during winter months. Plan on not having income for that time period. (Unless you live in Florida, Hawaii, or the Philippines where you can swim year round!)
