Overseas online purchase. Can anyone help?

At the beginning of November, I purchased 3 T-shirts online from a company in the US. These T-shirts have not yet arrived and I have sent several e-mails to the company asking where my t-shirts are. The total of the order came to $84 but they only charged me $36. I have asked them to refund my money and cancel the order but they seem to be ignoring me. Do I have any chance of getting my money back?

Depends on how you paid for the shirts. If ou paid by credit card then thanks to a new ruling, all overseas credit card payments to companies are covered by the new ruling. You can get your money back by discussing this with the CC company. You must make available all invoices, email discussions etc for the CC company to asses the case. Basically it is fraud and as a UK credit card holder you are covered. Don't let the CC compnay fob you off...this is now law and then must help you!

Basically, if the cc company agree, and they should do in this case, they will simply issue a call back to the seller and the funds will be deducted from the sellers account automatically. The seller must then re-approach you for the cash which they are unlikley to do.

A snowballs chance in hell.

If you paid by credit card, you may be covered. Check with youir provider.

If you paid by credit card, you can do a charge back

If you paid with paypal you have a good chance of getting your money back. As for a credit card it would depend which one you used and what cover you have.

If you used Paypal you can recover the money from their dispute resolution centre.
Likewise there are remedies if you used google checkout.
Using a credit card enables you to throw the transaction into dispute and get a 'chargeback' although that is not always easy'.

I hope you paid with a credit card or paypal, because they can remove the charge. In addition to seeing what you can do to get your money back through whatever payment method you used, you should also contact the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and see if they can file a complaint on your behalf. I'm sorry you had a negative experience with a US company, and I hope you can get your money back soon.
