In this age of digital printing, is it UNWISE to put up a retail store of fancy, high-end stickers? |
I plan to put it up in malls where rentals are almost prohibitive. I also plan to include other stationery products like pens, erasers, notepads, bookmarks, greeting and gift cards. I am a little apprehensive because some say that the stationery business is a "dying" industry. I wouldn't get a whole store for it... see if the mall will let you have a little kiosk in the middle. The rent will probably be lower, but traffic will be higher with people walking by seeing all your products. If all you have is small things like that, you probably won't need the space of an entire store anyway. |
