Would you pay for tech support online?

I own a small technology consulting company and have several local customers that I assist on a regular basis, but I am looking to expand to the internet.

My question is, would you pay for tech support via Paypal for computer questions?

I have been a Database Specialist for 6 years for a major US Corporation.

No. You'd be competing against programmers in India and China who will beat you on price.

Sure I would, depending on the price. You may get a lot of people interested but would they pay your rate?
Ask your friends if they would pay you?
Also depends on who your market your service to.

I wouldn't, but I know some people who would rather do that than learn themselves how to troubleshoot and fix their software. I guess you would do alright with it.

I think you should break charges into different categories. For instance...
Yearly Consulting Maintenance- 2,500.00
Bi-Yearly- 1,500.00
Monthly- 250.00
Weekly- 80.00
24 Hours- 25.00

I have a maintenance agreement with a software package that I my company bought as a add on for technical questions. It cost 800.00 yearly, and is convenient when needed. Good Luck!
