I need to make a proper sales forecast for the first time can someone help ? The easiest way to do this is look at your past sales data (as much as you have) and assume a linear trend. You can determine what value the coefficents of the linear model are by minimising the sum of squared residuals (there;s an excel command to do this). Once you have intercept and B you plug in today's sales value for yesterdays and estimate tomorrows sales. |
