How to start a small modeling business??

I have the potential to start my own small business as modeling agency, as we only have one agency in the area and it's a big Loser.. so i would like to know what requirement should i take in consideration and if you can post me links to website for the same purpose??

First and foremost make a list of all the contacts you have.
To succeed you need to be able to accurately and truthfully answer the following questions, not listen to some guy who listed his personal website for gain:

What makes you think you can do a better job? (that's not me being sarcastic btw its an honest question) In other words, why is the other agency so bad?

Do you have connections that would make it easier for models to get gigs?

Do you know other agency's and do you have a list of clients already?

How about experience? Do you have any experience in the industry? Know anybody that does?

I know I'm answering your question with a lot of my own but if you can answer the majority of these questions then it will help ensure you have a successful venture. Even if you can't, at least it will lead you in the right direction. Next go to your local Small Business Association office and talk with a SCORE rep. They have reps that have experience in all different types of industries and that specialize in helping you start a business. Its a long hard road and it will be easy to get discouraged, don't, you can do it. Just take one step at a time.
