Was There A Night Club Named "The Studio" In San Jose In The 1980's?

I distinctly remember a distant cousin who briefly lived with us in the mid 1980's when she was a teenager, and how she liked going to a club she called "The Studio". I even recall how somtimes she used to get into trouble for sneaking out and/or staying out past curfew. I don't know whatever became of her after she moved away, but I still remember hoe her life revolved around "The Studio" during her stay with us. Anyone know?

I wish I had the answer for you, but I don't. But I thought I'd suggest a few ways to find out, if you really, really wanted to know (I'm guessing you don't, and that you were just curious).

1. Try town hall: someone there has probably been here since the 1980s.

2. Try and find an old yellow pages -- that'll likely have a directory for nightclubs.

3. Try craigslist for San Jose: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/, and then in "discussion forums" there's "help". Try asking a question there...
