(CHEAP!)guitar lessons in san francisco?

where can i find cheap acoustic gutiar lessons in san francisco? (that are good) (of course).

I've played, taught, and gigged on the side for 20+ years, so here's my two cents-(I'm an engineer until 5pm)

Look at group lessons at a local nonprofit music school or community college. The instructors often have degrees in music or music education, and if the finances are a challenge, they frequently offer financial aid if you can demonstrate a legitimate need. The big advantage of group lessons is that you are in with players at about your level- set up jam sessions outside of or after class-


I've really found that the most important factor is finding someone else with who you can play regularly. Find a practice partner or jam buddy. Remember, music is a social activity, and if you're sitting alone trying to learn in your room, you probably won't go very far. Good Luck!
