Where is a good place to go bowling in San Francisco, midweek, that you dont need to book in advance?

In San Francisco, there are only two bowling centers left. Yerba Buena on Howard and 4th, and the Presidio Bowling Center. These are pretty small, so I'm sure that they get full very quick.

Try Serra Bowl on Junipero Serra in Colma or Classic Bowling Center on the SSF/Daly City border by Skyline Boulevard on King Drive. These bowling centers are bigger than the ones in the city and have large parking lots.

When are you going to bowl? Midweek, leagues start at around 6PM and can last until about 8:30 to 9PM. During the day, it's possible to get lanes without having to sign up on a waiting list or making reservations. Good luck!

The bowling alley that is over in the Presidio is inexpensive and fun. I hear it may be clsing soon, through no fault of it's own, so get on over there. Japantown also has a fun bowling alley. It's close to Geary.
