We are closing on our housse this week, how long will we be at the actual "closing table?"? 45 minutes to an hour, depending on how many questions you have... An hour or less, you need to read all the forms and sign them so it depends how fast you read and how often you have done it before. Don't rush, read it until you understand it or don't sign. Give yourself 1 - 2 hours. If you worked with a real estate agent, he or she should explain most everything before the closing. The settlement statement and title commitment should be in the agent's possession before closing and he or she can explain the basics beforehand and that saves some time. |
