Can I get an apartment with NO job? |
I am moving to a city for graduate school and I am not planing on working while in school. I have enough money saved up to pay for each month's rent until I finish school. Am I going to have a hard time finding an apartment because I have no job? What if I pay them in advance for my entire stay (2 years)? If you are up front with the landlord, and tell them that you have the money in the bank for your rent, you should not have a problem. Not if you get the apartment under your parents' names (I assume they'll be paying the bill). College towns know there are going to be jobless students living in apartment complexes, so they should be flexible. yes you will have a hard time..if you were renting an apartment would you rent it to someone with out a job.. No, but they may ask for a larger than normal security deposit to cover your rent. |
