21 & im trying to move out please help?

i make $8.00hr
work bout 3-5 hrs a day mon-friday
i have 2 credit cards i pay bout $200 a month for that
and a cellphone its bout $80.00-$100.00
the place i want to move in rent is bout $600-875
i need advice ...do u think i can move out??? or should i get another job???

No way... I make the same that you do, I work about the same... I have to pay rent, which is only $235 (because I have a roommate and we found a good deal!) I pay for electricity (about $60, usually) cable and internet ($55, another good deal) and water (About $20). I have no cell phone bill, and no debts to pay off, or any credit cards. And I am not really struggling, but almost. I have to ask my parents for money quite a bit. Gas getting to work and food really adds up.

If you really want to move out, you should probably find a roommate (or 2) and maybe get another job... and try to pay off those credit cards. Right now, it doesn't sound like a good idea. Take that other job for a while, and save some money, that way when you are able to move out, you know you can make it.

I hate to give you that answer, but coming from the same income, I'd stray away from it for now. Moving out is great, but it won't hurt to stay just a little longer until you can be completely ready.

Good luck!

You need more money, way more money. Stick around with your parents a lil' longer and save up, get a better job and then go from there. Its a lot harder then just crunching some numbers, and saying you make enough to pay rent. What about all the bills, food, furniture. Think long and hard before you decide to leave.

you need a full time job and no debt, to even try moving out.

You can't do it on that amount. No way no how. You need to work FULL TIME and find something that pays more. The cellphone is too much -- I'd see if you can downgrade your plan.
I pay $645 a month and make $16.25 an hour. I live alone, have no kids, have no credit cards, but I DO have a car payment, insurance, utility bills and groceries to buy, and it's STILL a stretch.

You need to work full time for higher pay. You do realize that renting is just not rent right? You will need to pay utilities, buy food etc.

I would strongly suggest staying with your parents until you find a higher paying job and pay off your credit cards. You are bringing in $800/month and already spending $300. There is a lot more involved with an apartment than the rent alone. Consider you will be buying food, paying electric and water bills... etc...

Have you considered a room mate? That may be your only option if you NEED to move...
