Does anyone know how old you need to be to buy a home in Texas?

I agree with the poster above however, you might have to be a bit older in theory in order to have an established credit hisotry which might take a bit more time to create (unless of course you have the money already)

Most banks have basic requirements before you are issued a loan for a home and one would be a certain amount of time on the job. At 18 it is not likely that you will have that! So while technically you can buy a home at the age of 18, it is not likely that you will qualify for a bank loan at that age

You have to be at least 18 in Texas for your contracts to be valid. That's all that matters. Report It
