What's the average square feet for a new home?

No children

depends on where it is what year it was built
in the 50-60"s ramblers were popular - they averaged about 900-1500 FSF (finsihed sq feet) in the 70-80's split entrys were popular - they averaged 1200-1900 FSF - then we got into the 90's and went into multi level homes at around 1600 - 2500 FSF - see the pattern here? Sp it depends on what type of home you buy.
