What kinda housing can I get in the Fort Worth-ish area with a $46,000 a year salary?

I'm in college to become a teacher and that's what the current starting out salary is they say, so I'm wondering where I'll be when I'm finally out on my own.

You should be able to qualify for a nice house or condo with that salary. It also depends on your credit rating. I am a Realtor in Dallas and prices in the metroplex are very reasonable compared to much of the rest of the country. Well, prices will go up by then. loans that work the way you want them to are getting harder to get. My wife got a 128k home based on a salary like that. Acorn loan with Bank of America. We pay about 1k per month (includes all escrows).

I'm in Austin, 130 won't get you much. I just sold a home in Pflugerville (good schools) for upper 130's. it was 1400 sq. ft.
