What is typical real estate sales process?.?

I have a coop for sale and am advised we are to go into contract. I have not seen an appraiser come here and I am not sure what is taking place, all I am advised is the purchaser sgned the contract with their lawyer yesterday. Can someone please advise me when is the apprasiel from the bank to be completed, and what other actions are taking place.

first offer by buyer to be made, then if you sign and accept, buyer aplpys for loan. after some paperwork complete an appraisal is scheduled. when all paperwork return to bank, approval or denial occurs. upon approval, title companies, lawyers contacted and closing date set for finalization. this whole process could take 3 weeks or 3 months.
