Deed search?

how do i do my own deed search on property i want to purchase

More than likely you'll have to go to the court house. Due to privacy protection for the citizens of this great country, an on-line search probably won't give you ALL the information you need to have about that property.

You MUST have THE EXACT property address.

It helps if you have the names of ALL the parties on the deed and on any documents - the mortgage[s] and/or other liens against the property.

There's much more information you need to research - such as at the Promontory's Office as well as any local District court in the county where that property is located.
