Verify Current Homeowner?

Are there companies that verify current homeowner with a copy of the front page of the Mortgage or Deed without me going to every county in MO an KS. Can this be done on line?

A title company researches the history of the title, and makes sure that whoever's on the title really has a clear title.

But if you just want to know who owns the property, it ought to be filed in the county where the property itself is actually located. (Or are you talking about multiple locations?)

You can go to the county recorder's web site and access this information

There are services you can pay for, that will give you the current vesting on most properties- try NexisLexis or RealQuest.
