Home security?

If I decide that I want to buy a single unit condominium can I have ADT or Brinks installed in my property? Just because even if the community is gated there's still always a threat like thieves, rapist etc.

See Condo Rules (darn condo assoc).

If you buy it it is your property and you can have a security company install a security system inside. Whether they can install anything outside, such as a motion sensor, infra red beam, etc, would depend on the contract you have with the homeowners association.

THE CORRECT answer to your Q is most likely in the by-laws of the condo association.

To save you some time, you could call someone familiar with the rules and regs of the association.
