My family will be vacationing in Central Florida in March. How can I find a weekly rental with 2+ bedrooms?

My family will be in Central Florida for a week in march. We're looking to rent something with 2+ bedrooms. How can I do that?

Unless you care nothing about what you spend on the place I would steer clear of searching for "Vacation Rentals" in a search engine online. The one found that way can be very expensive.

I would try http://www.craigslist.org. You just find the area in Florida you will be closest to and then start searching in "Houses for Rent", "Temporary Housing", and "Vacation Rentals" all listed under the Real Estate heading.. For the best results, you can actually post an add in the "Housing Wanted" section. You don't have to register with the site or anything - just provide an email so your responses can be sent there. Posting here will allow you to specify exactly what you need and when you will need it and even what you are looking to pay, but for the best results I would just leave that part blank.

You'll be surprised how quickly people begin contacting you. And not just for housing - craigslist is a great way to find/sell/trade/advertise just about anything. And its FREE.

Go to www.vrbo.com -- that's Vacation Rentals By Owner. Search for Orlando. You can find all KINDS of places listed there.

Try redweek.com

i agree with the
craig list
try the out areas as well

when i went to Florida..i went in "off time"
so ..i got great deals and "freelanced"
this was Nov/dec..and the only hard time..was thanksgiving and the "ice storm"..
but .."craigs list " is great

Some vacation rental sites will let you narrow your search by bedroom/or the number of people you need it to sleep, as well as a specific date range or within a geographic area.

More importantly, if you have a certain budget to stick to, you can search for rental by price range. we list them by nightly rate for example, then you can narrow down by the amenities you want.

Craiglist is great for a lot of things, but I wouldn't gamble on my vacation personally. There's just too much potential for fraud - not getting what you paid for, having to send a check to a stranger, etc.

At least go with with a professionally managed group of rentals.
