Put a LIEN one me, how to find out? |
How do I find out if someone put a lien on me? Normally you would receive notification of such action (i.e.) taken against your bank account, business , mtg. etc. You can try the county clerks office of your town. Usually it is as the result of a dispute which you will be aware of. Such a lien can hurt your credit rating and be a problem to sell property, real or personal. You may require legal help also. Don't ignore such an act. wats a lien?? Try running your credit report. I would think that it would show up there. well most liens that are put on you go through the person's bank You can find out at the courthouse. Or, you could have a local title company do a liens and judgments search for you. It shouldn't cost more that $20-30 to find out. |
