Would $50,000 annually be enough to live in San Diego? |
...right on the beach? I'm single. I would move there for the constant beach activities. I love partying. I would have a moderate car, like a Civic (stock). $50,000.00 would be enough to live in San Diego, but NOT on the beach. Depends on your needs. Are you alone or with family?? No. It will be at least $5000 a month in rent and that itsn't much of a house. about a thousand per month. That's 25% of your income before taxes! See below for the zipcodes choose where you might want to live. Not if you want to have any kind of standard of living. It is extremely expensive. If you want to live on or near a beach, try the panhandle of Florida. Much more reasonable. Possibly if you live modestly and don't take on a car payment, but can pay cash for your car. Rents are expensive in California. Check on Craigslist for typical local rents. Gas is also expensive. Depends if you have a modest lifestyle then yes but to live comfortably in a nice home and not having to deal with roommates then it is no. Maybe you and your friend turned enemy can share a place there. LOL. Maybe if you plan to live in the car. Beach side property in San Diego goes for millions. You are barely making minimum wage. There are no low income beach houses. Sorry. Maybe at an income of $50,000 a month you could afford something beach front. San Diego is very desirable, and beach front is very affluent. I think you would be hard pressed at $50,000 a year to live in San Diego, period. 50,000....your barely twice the poverty |
