How much money will We get?

Ok, so a gas well company is comeing monday to show us were there going to put a gas well on our land. What I want to know is how much money will we get?
Alot

some

my neighbor tried this it doesnt work they write the contracts to their advantage and never pay fully

You'll probably get knowing. You own the land on the top. Unless your mortgage loan/title/deed was written so you have mineral rights to what ever is under your land, you'll probably get nothing but a thank you.

If you own the mineral rights the exploration company will sign a lease with you. If you own the mineral rights you will get some money off the initial lease then if the well the company drills produces you will see some of the revenue from that well. The amount of money you will see is dependant on the amount of oil the well produces. I have heard of some wells recently producing $1K a month to $10K+ a month for the mineral owners. I would recommend contacting an attorney familiar with oil and gas law and having them go through the steps of the process and the lease with you to make sure that you're maximizing the potential revenue that you can get out of the mineral rights. If you do not own the mineral rights to the property you will likely receive compensation for the damages that the well does to the surface.
