What are people in Arizona into??

I want to open a business in the flea market but cant seem to figure out what it is the people out here are into.

Well you might want to decide your target group. Are you looking to target older folks, or young kids?

Are you looking to sell brand new items, or used/garage sale stuff?

I might suggest visiting several different flea markets to scope out what seems to sell, and the people visiting. Sit and watch for a few hours.

I know the local swap mart near me is on Signal Butte & Baseline in Mesa. Mostly everything is new, and it runs the gammut from speciality foods, clothing, artwork, woodwork, collectibles, silk plants, jewelry, CD's/DVDs, purses/luggage, custom t-shirts, etc.

Food is always a big seller because you can offer samples. Jams, jellies, salsas, hard to find beverages, etc.

For a younger crowd, go with toys, remote control gadgets, scooters, kids movies and CDs.
