I'm trying to find prices or retailers of storefront security grates/grilles in or around philadelphia Pa.

I recently opened a small business in South Philadelphia and the security grate I have on the storefront now is antiquated and a solid steel accordion style. I'd like to change it to one of those grated bar roll up grilles for better advertising at night. Can anyone suggest a base price or retailer of storefront security grates/grilles in or around philadelphia Pa. Their is one window and it's sized around 9ft (W) x 8ft(H).

Pricing really varies with the area and the specifics of your installation. I suggest you talk to the owners of stores in the same neighborhood who have a similar physical set-up and the kind of equipment you're looking for. In addition to getting real-world price information (not just a salesman's pitch), you can learn how good the vendors are with service. And you may also make some friendly connections with other business owners.

If that doesn't work, talk to your insurance broker. They will be most happy to see you upgrade your security, and they may be able to point you to a couple of reliable suppliers.

Finally, a lot of the same companies that install commercial burglar alarms also handle barrier security (grates and roll-downs). If your business is new, you are probably getting all kinds of offers from these guys. Ask them if they can install a grille. Of course, they'll also try to sell you a lot of extra stuff you don't need, but it's like dealing with any other supplier. You just have to be firm about what you want and don't want.

Good luck!!
