Interest raised 3 times?

I'm in Australia, and just over 12 months ago, we got our first homeloan, at a fantastically cheap 7.51%. Currently, we're paying 8.88% on that loan. Interest rates have gone up four official times since we got the loan (thanks to the Reserve Bank of Australia trying to rein in inflation) which is an entire 1% interest, or 4x .25% rises over the last twelve months. The rest of those rises are thanks to the banks, trying to screw consumers out of more money. Every time rates officially rise by a quarter of a percent, the bank adds another tenth of a percent to the rise.

However, we're not struggling to pay bills. We borrowed sensibly, only an amount one of us could repay on one income. We bought a cheap house that needs some work, but one which was good enough to rent out if we ever wanted to use it later as an investment property. Both of us are on minimum wage, and I work 2 jobs. We shop at factory sales outlets, grow our own vegies, and always take our lunch to work. We never ever pay a bill late, and our last grocery shop came to $19.80, because we buy stuff when it's on special and store it, so we don't need to buy small quantities of the same stuff every week, like toilet paper and coffee.

We're coping just fine. With a few small changes to our spending habits, we've been able to pay three years worth of payments off the house in one year, and still live pretty well.

Best wishes

pay on time you decreased, you can check the payment how u are paying in month (or) year you have to check with bank after then you can take the advised from friends
