Check signed? |
I have to work soon and I wanted to know if its possible that my boyfriend take the check I wrote out to go get something for me at ace hardware. I signed it and wrote out everything like date where to and signed it. Can he just fill in the rest like the amount and then write the amount out and will they accept it? i would call ahead and ask. that way you don't have to wonder either way. He can. Whether they would choose to accept it, I can't say. You could call and ask them if they would take that risk. Never ever sign blank check, Yes he can now fill in the but if you have written the payee he cannot alter the name without your consent |
