I need your help, making a budget?

for a family of four in any small town California.
total income is $2400 per month, we have no car, rent is about $750 per month, but I have no idea how much, food, phone, electricity, cable, public transportation, etc etc is.
can someone help me out?

2,400 a month in take home income (after tax)

$750 per month rent
$200 per month utilities
$50 per month phone
$800 per month food & grocery
$300 per month public transport
$300 per month in entertainment/misc./savings

well you can keep track of how much it costs for about three months, then find the average (add all together divide by three)(or however many months)
then add that to the $750 and then subtract it from $2400
and thats what you have left. Save most then use about 35% or something like that for pleasure,
Hope that helps you figure something out!

I think it's optional. You're not entitled to paid sick leave; it's a luxury benefit offered by most companies. When you leave, some will cash that out, some will not. Good luck.
