Some one answer this for me, should you get your sick pay when you are laid off? |
Thanks you guys for answering and showing you care! I think it's optional. You're not entitled to paid sick leave; it's a luxury benefit offered by most companies. When you leave, some will cash that out, some will not. Good luck. Its a matter of company policy in most cases. If you're covered by a union agreement, that agreement might also have such provisions. I'd definitely ask a lawyer.
