What are the Wal-Mart loss leaders?

I hate shopping at walmart but I was just given a $100 gift card and I might as well use it since walmarts already got the $100.

So I plan on only purchasing their loss leaders. A loss leader is a product meant to increase store traffic that has a lower price than what walmart is charging for it. Often times they are used to drive smaller competitors that can't make up the lost revenue in volume, out of business.

So my question is, what are walmart's loss leader products? How do you spot them? Should I just look at their sale ad and only purchase the things that have a ridiculously low price?

Is there a website to track this?

They are usually lined up by the entrances with sale prices on them, when they say sale and you've priced the item for much higher everywhere else, you can do a good job in the electronics department.

I have always like shopping at Wal Mart until I started reading labels well and found out almost everything they sell is made in China.

Sounds like you're trying to stick it to Walmart. Let me assure you they make money on just about everything they sell. Some products obviously having a higher margin than others. For those Walmarts that sell gas I know their margins are pretty slim there. Also, the day after a holiday, all those holiday items go on deep discount (as they do at all stores). That's probably your best bet, but you'll be stuck with an obsolete item and you'll be helping Walmart to clear out their inventory.
