i'm in a little mini financial crisis here. i have a debt of $200, that needs to be paid by may 16th. and i also need to buy a plane ticket to Atlanta, GA, for i am going on vacation to visit my best friend during the last week of may. the tickets (round trip) costs about $180. right now, i only have about $431. if i pay for both, i'll only have about $51 left...for the next 2 weeks, until i get paid again. i want to get the plane tkts asap before the prices rise, but i really wanna get this bill out the way as well. i haven't been working much lately because i've been trying to focus on my classes, which is why i only have about $400. should i pay for the bill, and wait to buy the tkts, or buy the tkts and pay the bill later on? or just pay for both and be kinda broke for the next 2 weeks? and yes the trip is very important because A) it'll be my first vacation EVER and B) i havent seen my bestie in over 3 years now, and she has a son now that i've yet to meet and i really wanna see them! Well, I guess it's about priorites. Is the vacation a must have, or are you bills and debts more important? I say, bite the bullet and live with the 51 dollar budget if your trip is that important to you! Just think of it this way, at least you'll have a paycheck coming in a few weeks! Some folks aren't that lucky. I can totally relate to being a poor college student. Bottom line you can't afford this. If you get into the habit of buying things you cannot afford you will end up in a very bad place. Just read through all the questions here asking about bankruptcy.
