Can the bank send someone to your house to take back items that i purchased with an overdrawn account?

i bought an electric guitar online i knew my account was goin to be overdrawn after the purchase because i had like $20 in it and the guitar costed $200 and the transaction went threw.now im going to put the money in my account to bring my account back to positive balance.i just want to know if the bank can bring someone to my house to take the guitar away.

No way in heck, that would be repossession and I believe that would actually require a court hearing and a judgement......... As someone else said, worst case is a NSF fee from the bank and a letter telling you they hooked you up with a short-term loan for a $30 fee and you generally have 10 days to bring the account back into the positive (if you aren't able to within 10 days just phone the bank/credit union and let them know, they'll usually extend it)...... If you get the account positive quickly enough, you MIGHT even avoid the NSF fee..........

no but i bet they will charge you 30 bucks overdraft fee because they covered your bad check

No. All the bank cares about is getting their money. Just pay the overdrawn fees and don't pay for something that you know you don't have the money for. Wait until you get paid first. The thing that you want will still be there when you get paid.

No, they will charge overdraft fees for every charge made after your account dips below $0. Luckily you only made one purchase, which will mean only one fee, instead of multiple small purchases with multiple fees.

Banks are not in the business of repossessing items. You will only have something repo'd if you use it as collateral, and typically you are only going to use large items as collateral. For instance, if you take out a car loan the car is collateral if you default the loan.

um no..but they can charge you fees out the a*s for overdrafting..

Nope they can't send anyone to get the guitar. However, they can charge an NSF fee. Usually about 30-40 bucks. Then depending on the bank they can charge you weekley for your account being overdrawn. NOt to mention if you have anything else coming in when it's in the negative state. Good luck...maybe you should learn to budget.
