I am 13 yrs old, and I am getting my first debit card (visa). Of course, I dont have a drivers license, but wen u pay with ur credit card u hav 2 show ur id. When they ask 4 identification, can i show my student id? My student id has my picture, my name, and the grade i am currently in. Can I show this wen i pay with a debit card?



ok, that was my last question i posted about 30 minutes ago. Most people said, get a state id. So how can I get a state id, and how old do u have 2 b? thank u!

The usually don't ask for ID when you use a debit card because you have to enter in your pin.

You can usually get a state ID from wherever you get a driver's license in your state. In my state we get it at the Department of Licensing. It looks very similar to a driver's license.

I think that anyone can get a state issued ID. You can get them at whatever department is responsible for your state's drivers liscences. Like the DMV or Sec. of State.

I think the age is 10 so you should be good... just go to your local DMV and apply for one with your mom or dad it's pretty easy to get

when using a debit card you dont have to have an id as far as im aware. since its your own money coming out of your own account, and usually if you just sign the back of the card in the spot designated for your signurature they wont id you.

ummmm, u dont need a id..i dont have a drivers licens...andi have a debit card..when u buy things u just swipe the card and press credit and voila

You can get a State ID at your local DMV (Department Of Motor Vehicles). I don't think you have to be any certain age to get one... if you do that might depend on the state you live in.

I think you have to be 16 to get state id.

....but how are you getting a debit card, I've never heard of any banks giving out debit cards to customers under 16.

Perhaps, you mean an ATM card?

All I wanna know is how did you even get a debit card at 13? I work at a bank and we dont issue debit cards to people that young because you would have to have a checking account. If your talking about just a card thats linked to your savings account, then you can only usethose at ATM machines to pull cash out, which in that case, no one will even ask for your ID. Im wondering what state you live in, because here in Jersey we swipe our cards at the stores and they dont even ask to see it.

i had a job orientation And because im 16 i dont have a state i.d. so i used my school i.d.

So im not sure why that would be any different as long as you are showing them you say you are who you really are.

I got my state ID when i was nine (i'm thirteen now) You can get it at the Highway Department, or wherever you can get a drivers license.

NO!!!! dont get a state ID, ok, i have the same thing eccept i have a USAA debit card, just use your school ID, it works the same, dont listen to theese people, use your school ID!!!!

you can use your student id but just remember to bring it or you have to pay with cash!
(so carry cash just in case)

2. To get a state ID, the only restriction is that you can't have a driver's license- when you get one, you must submit your state ID. Since you don't have a driver's license, you can get one, at your local DMV, for just roughly $10.

3. If you don't know how to get there, go to google and type in DMV (and your state) and the website link for your state DMV will pop up.

just go to the place that you would get your permit and then ask for them to make you an ID & it will only be of use for identification & you prolly have to pay

Your parents, go with you to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) That is the place where they issue drivers liscenses. They can give you the forms there to fill out a State ID, There. In about a half hour they will take your picture just like a Drivers liscense picture, only it will say State ID on the top. They all look differient depending on the state you live in.

i think u can use ur student id, or go to the DMV and take a state id for i think 24 bucks, its not a drivers liscene card, but rerally looks like one, cuz my sister got one ( she's not 18, in Fresno)
