Bank Account Question?

Ok so my direct deposit comes into effect late tonight/early tomorrrow morning, I also have some purchases that were made in the negative, my bank says if the direct deposit hits before the purchases i won't get any fees, do you think I will be lucky and my direct deposit will hit before the purchases???

I really can not afford any overdraft fees

HURRAY MY DIRECT DEPOSIT HIT ON TIME NO FEES, I THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR AWESOME HELP.

Um if your money is to post some where around midnight, you only have a couple hours if you are the US. So it will probably clear and you wont be over drawn, but if you can't afford over draft fee's then you should really watch what you spend, because they can add up really fast. This happened to me with pay pal once and luckily everything turned out fine, but I was looking at like $300 + in overdraft fee's because something got screwed up and was going to the wrong account...

don't spend money you don't have.

You're welcome! I'm glad you didn't get charged! Report It

ehh probably so. The easiest way to do it is to deposit cash, those transactions go through faster! Next time, wait the extra day before you spend your money!

If you can't afford overdraft fees, then don't spend before your direct deposit posts. Its that simple.

Well im a banker and its credite before debits, so if you used a check card are paper check then you will be ok, but if you used a atm card and had to enter your pin number then more so no you wont have any luck!

Your direct deposit at midnight will not post to your account until tomorrow. If you used your debit card for your purchases, they probably posted today and chances are you are going to have overdraft fees.
And though I'm sure you don't need to hear it: If you don't have the money in your account, don't spend it.
