Are you sure being rich ensures happiness?

I have an aunt that is a doctor and owns a rather large hospital in Taiwan, and yet, her husband and her fights quite often because they have no heir other than their daughter, who they have been pushing to get into medical school so that they can give her the hospital. She didn't make it, and now her mother is so depressed.

No, being rich does NOT make you happy...they have proven that...see they PUSHED THEIR DAUGHTER TOO MUCH...i would hate to be pushed...of course she did NOT make it...she has to do what SHE WANTS TO DO...not what her parents want for her...gee whiz!!! terrible.....see what her parents did to her??? just awful!!!..

rich doesnt ensure happiness...but wealthy does...being wealthy in all parts of your life not just the financial part

yea..sometime..

Of course not... money can't buy you happiness

money will make everyone happy in alot of ways

everyone alwayz says money doesn't buy happiness

It doesn't. Money is the root of all evil. If you spend your money wisely..give some to charity and pay your bills...take care of people who need the money more...then the way you used your money will benefit you.

yea money can buy anything i mean for me i have a really good life but dunno abou other pplz

True love to God, yourself and to your partner ensures happiness throughout life. Happiness from money is temporary.

Don't listen to the people who say money can't buy you happiness. Money can't buy you love, but happiness, yes. Music makes me happy, so I can BUY music and be happy.

who ever said being wealthy would insure happiness? nothing insures happiness. i have known dirt poor people that were more content and really happy than most. allthough i would like to be wealthy for a while just to see if i like it:)

I don't know, it seems to me that the rich Aunt has her priorities mixed up a bit. I wouldn't have her problems if I was her. I can say for sure, 100% that if I were rich, I'd be happy. Not that I'm not happy. Stress takes a lot of the smiles away. When you worry what you're gonna feed the kids for dinner, the thought of someone fretting over who to leave the hospital to in the will, let's say I'd rather have HER problems! As a matter of fact, I'd LOVE to have her problems.

Wealth can buy a house but not a home, wealth can buy blood but not health, wealth has not gone to my head. I worked hard for my money begining at a very young age, I design childrens clothing, it took alot of balancing between my children, my husband and allowing everyones individuality, allowing them to become self supporting and finding their own ways. Had we not had money we still needed the balance and strong foundation to build our success.....If my children fall short of their dreams it's okay I do however expect them to continue to set new goals for themselves and never give up......

Definitely not. Money is the compensation people get for prostituting the really precious things in life, and often all they get is the illusion of money.

They usually pretend they are happy to impress others.

To belong is the basic instinct of all human behaviour and money is held up as purchasing that status.

Abundance seems to grow naturally out of daily goodwill, industry and with not wasting things.

Rich, does NOT ensure happiness.
Okay, i am 13 and my family (parents and 4 kids, my twin sister and 2 older brothers) we are very very poor. My parents are artists, and the other day me and my mom had a conversation. It started out as a fight about how she couldnt afford stuff. Then finally i asked, mom, why are we so poor? And my mom said, "Because me and your dad do what we love, art."
But my life has been soo happy, i have so many fun and happy memories of us all being smooshed into our tiny old 2 door falling apart car, but we were always warm, and we were telling jokes, making fun of the new's people, fighting and laughing the whole way. And we never take things for granted either.
I learned to apriciate everything. If all you get for christmas is a sweater and some candles, you wear that sweater and burn those candles and be very happy that you got a present. Other kids my age got ipods and wiis and all that, but the ipods break, and they whine, and they will never be happy because there is always something higher and better out there than what they allready have.
Now I am happy the way I live now. I love being smooshed into that little car with my brothers and sister getting chinese food, going to the park with my dogs, & adjusting the antenna on the TV. Thats the way I live. And it DOESN'T mean we are uneducated or will be failures. We are all creative and have always had to use our minds instead of everyone doing things for us.
I hope my little speech has shown you that money does not ensure happiness.... Because i'm doing just great.

no but I would like to give it a try
