Charlotte, North Carolina?

Has anyone lived here?
Is this a nice area to live and raise your children?
We are looking into the suburb areas like Huntersville, etc.
Any input would be appreciated.

I live right outside of Charlotte, Huntersville is a bit far away and a little high priced for me. I like a little west of Charlotte. Like Gastonia, Belmont, Mount Holly region. The houses are resonable, As long as you get out of CMS, the school systems are great! But watch out for anything in McAdanville (SP wrong) It's Christmas town and it's hard to get in and out of this time of year, but i love it down here, the people are nice, and the food ROCKS! i am raising a little boy and there is no better place to get a little southern hospitality instilled in him. The teachers make him say "Yes mam' and no sir." I think it's a great little place to be. But that's just me.
