Of itself, water testing is not a fraudulent occupation but is real. It falls under environmental science, hydrology and chemistry. Some of these testers and analysts haved specific degrees, some do not, some are trained by their companies, some are certified by certification programs specifically for this purpose.

Call the number. But also check with the city or county regulators on this sort of thing. Also you can check at a college or university and talk to a staff teacher or professor so that they can give you a clearer picture on it.

It is certainly an important field.

But like with anything, there 'are' unsavory people in any field of endeavor. And you are right to question this...
